Nourish specializes in evidence-based strategies for integrating food, nutritional and livelihood supports into HIV treatment and prevention programs and guidelines.
We have designed pioneering epidemiological research to determine the prevalence and predictors of food security among people living with HIV/AIDS that have directly influenced policies and interventions on a global scale. In addition to leading primary research, out team has led secondary data analyses of national and international databases in Canada, the U.S and across Sub-Saharan Africa. Nourish’s team has collectively published over 50 peer-reviewed manuscript’s and abstracts in scientific journals of high-impact on topics related to food security and HIV/AIDS. Our members have advised the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Team in HIV/AIDS, Food Security and Nutrition, led by the World Food Programme, and USAID’s President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
