Maryam Matean, MPH
Technical Advisor
Maryam joined Nourish Global Nutrition in 2017 as a Technical Advisor on projects in Nigeria, Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Marshall Islands and Vanuatu. In Nigeria she contributed her expertise in qualitative research to test communication materials on home fortification with micronutrient powders, while in the Pacific island countries, she was a key member of the team conducting formative research to inform maternal and child nutrition and health programming.
She brings with her over 10 years of health research experience, focused on social determinants of health particularly in relation to early child development, HIV/AIDS care and treatment, and barriers to child cancer treatment in low- and middle-income countries. Maryam completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus on global health at the University of British Columbia in 2013.
